USA kits 1992-1994

This adidas kits dressed USA team during the build up to the 1994 World Cup which they hosted. I mentioned before that this design in particularly from adidas  is the best of all in my opinion, those days the German brand decided that 3 stripe concept will be his mark, even they changed logo. Man! even they asociated stripes to sport clothes since ever. Notice that US logo and numbers are different between those kits, it's a prove that designers still missed details like this in 90's decade. And maybe a little bit of red improve away kit, don´t you think?.

Belgium kits World Cup 1994

The italian manufacturer Diadora design a colorful pattern to the shoulders of this kit, and was the hallmark of the Red Devil's skin for this World Cup.

Saudi Arabia kits World Cup 1994

In 1994 there were still no global brands sponsoring national teams kits, one of these brands was Saudi Arabia kit sponsor. Arabs only played three games with the away kit, so as other teams one of the kits will stay in the closet, we didn't know how it was, the home kit presented here was used after World Cup, the texture of the fabric has a different design, and the orientation/size of the strip diamonds is little diferent from the away kit, for purposes of guessing the kit that was in the Saudi Arabian´s locker during the 94 World Cup, i kept the orientation/size of the strip diamonds equal to away kit, so will not see changes here in this topic.

Morocco kits World Cup 1994

One of the most elaborate kits of all, in my opinion. Lotto really spend time on this design, federation logo in the middle looks very cool. I think lotto pull some strings in the business to design better and more attractive kits in the years to come, and not only crazy patterns.

Cameroon kits World Cup 1994

Cameroon played his only three appearances in the World Cup with the green home kit, the change kit we could not see during USA 1994, here is the away kit that the lions used for 1994 -1995 which we assume it was provided for the World Cup because it has elements of home kit such as fabric and striped pattern. I could not find a good picture of the shorts and socks of away kit, so I present the design that I think should have been, based on later Cameroon's away kits. South Korea kits World Cup 1994

Korea presents a very attractive kit which dressed in blue vs. Germany, in white vs Spain, and white shirt and blue shorts vs Bolivia. during the eliminatory round Korea dressed in red practically the same design by Rapido, with minimal changes in the pattern which had some degraded colors.

Netherlands Kits World Cup 1994

Adidas was the brand in World Cup 90 for orange boys. A new kit supplier has arrive for KNVB, the Italian sportswear manufacture Lotto. In his recent global expansion had touched the orange team among other national selections and clubes. Basically Lotto designs for this era were based on printed fabrics and a classic polo shirt.

Nigeria Kits World Cup 1994

Adidas made a unique kit design for Nigeria 1994 team. I do not understand exactly why, maybe it's because it was the first appearance of Nigeria in a World Cup Finals. Here is a very rare kits as worn Nigeria when the side topped Group D, with wins over Bulgaria and Greece, but lost to eventual final lists Italy in the second round.

Bulgaria Kits World Cup 1994

as Romania, Bulgaria wore the adidas stripe concept kit. This one is a classic and remembered adidas kit, for me is the best kit in wc 94, the combination of colors made a perfect visual and impact balance. No design pattern was made for the fabric. something that we see in Romania kits.

Norway Kits World Cup 1994

Norway kits as worn at the 1994 World, good combination of colors for a nice uniform. Adidas combine the big-V neck whit his tradicional stripes and the big side stripes for home shirt, for away shirt the 1994 diamond pattern substitute the big side stripes. Almost All possible adidas combinations was used for Norway.

Sweden Kits World Cup 1994

Classic design shirts as worn at World Cup USA 94 when the Swedes surprised everybody to reach the Semi-Finals only to lose out to Brazil (worn away kit) after a late Romario strike.  The side eventually finished 3rd though, after thrashing Bulgaria in the 3rd/4th Place Play-Off. The pattern of the shirt includes the logo of the federation over the adidas stripes. I could not find the adidas logo in the socks in any photo, seems to really not include adidas logo for Sweden socks.

Romania Kits World Cup 1994

Romania wore an alternative adidas design made ​​for not elite national teams, this stripe concept was an evolution of earley design for qualification stage where the stripes were in right shoulder. This one is a classic and remembered adidas kit. Something that is curious to me is that no design pattern was made for the fabric. something that we see in the rest of 1994 adidas kits.

 

Ireland Kits World Cup 1994

With Ireland's place in USA '94 assured, Adidas introduced their new designs. The aggressive Opel branding was gone and the new green shirts featured diagonal shadow stripes and an intricate design, based on the FAI crest, not good woven into the front of the shirt was added too. The change kit featured Adidas' three-stripe motif in a very unusual fading pattern edged with orange, logos were above the outside stripes being very on the edge causing poor appearance.

Spain Kits World Cup 1994

Second time Spain Federetion dressed with Adidas for world cup tournament, the red/blue combination is a pretty one kit despite adidas diamonds pattern that is considered one of the worst adidas designs. May notice that the shorts adidas logo is on top of the diamond pattern causing visual noise, and worse in the white kit the logo embroidery is in red on top of a red diamond.....what happend with the adidas designer????

 

Germany Kits World Cup 1994

One of the kits most illustrious in the history of the World Cup, and Germany is probably best remembered by the world. Adidas design created a very illustrative of the nineties that ended with the tendencies of those years to putting prints patterns in kits....soon in Euro 96 until now, the solid and retro kits will be fashion recurrence.
