Argentina kits World Cup 1986

This is a world famous Argentinian kit, i saw Maradona dressed this one and won the WC. This pair of kits has trouble with the badge (different to one kit to another), another proof that in those years, merchandising and publicity was in diapers.

  1. the away kit with the different badge was from the match Argentina vs England, because the Argentine team bought some Le Coq Sportif polyester shirts (as opposted to the cotton shirts because the polyester shirts were suited better for the heat in Mexico than the cotton ones) and the on the shirt it was sewn the old AFA logo (the one used until 1981)
(in Argentina vs Uruguay the badge was the same of the Home Kit)

  2. Also, the shirts worn v England had a striped patern, while the ones v Uruguay did not. I read somewhere that Maradona told the coaching staff after the Uruguay match, that if they wore the polyester shirts against England, they would lose. Hence the change. The huge silver/glittered numbers on the back of the cotton shirts v England were sourced from an American Football team.
